Group work presentation slides

Group work handout

Portfolio 3

Before the exhibition starts - I will use Verbal communication is the most effective way to give instruction, correction or direction to a group. Without it there can be misunderstandings, frustration and lack of productivity. Verbal communication is essential to have a healthy and fruitful group or team. It helps set guidelines and boundaries in team dynamics that allow a group to achieve the goal it intends to accomplish.
I will treat my team mates equally and also listening about their opinion.

After the exhibition - I think my team mates and I did a great job on the exhibition because the photos and we have chosen all are amazing and beautiful and some has a meaning and story behind the picture. Thanks for everyone.

PORTFOLIO 3

Create a poster for the exhibition

Promote the project on social media

PORTFOLIO TASK 3

Question A

Name of the exhibition - my name of our exhibition is "Capturing Nature". i think this is suitable as the photos chosen for my exhibition bacause it reflects the theme of the nature such as beaches and as well as the colour of the picture.

Date of exhibition - 28 June 2019

Space and logistics of the exhibition space - I think an art gallery that has a lot of windows and good lighting would be the perfect space for my exhibition. The lighting from the windows could help my photos shines more and can make the audience feeling and imagine what i feel and see when took the picture. It also would be a plus score if the art gallery close to the sea or beach so tthe audience could hear the sound of the waves and the smell of the sea water. The art gallery should also has to be quite far from the city so when the people are sick of the crowded city, they could come here for retreat and relaxing.

Week 15 - 17
Presentation and feedback

I think I did an okay job on delivering the presentation in front of my friends and teacher. This is also my first presentation to deliver this and I was so nervous honestly but I have to do it because the presentation is going to be important in the university’s life too.

Good points :
Gladly I did not pass out or embarrassed myself and I also put an effort to make eye contact to my friends or the audience and I also explain a little bit from my own words and did not read from the whole slides.

Improvements:
I wish that I wasn’t so nervous and I should have practice more because if I practice more I wouldn’t feel that nervous anymore. I also wish that I spend more time learning about the topic of my slides so I can explain the key words on the slides with my own words.

WEEK 9

Advantages and Disadvantages of Teamwork

First, Working in teams increases collaboration and allows brainstorming. As a result, more ideas are developed and productivity improves. Second, Two or more people are always better than one for solving problems, finishing off difficult tasks and increasing creativity. Third, Everyone is unique and has different skills, backgrounds and experiences. Therefore, others in a team can help you see things from a different angle. Teamwork encourages communication between team members. For this reason, relations between employees tend to be better and over time employees learn to communicate better. However in some teams, there may be members who sit back and let others do all the work. In these types of teams conflicts may occur and this can affect the mood of others in the team. Working in a team requires many meetings and these meetings, if not managed well, can go off topic and decrease the efficiency of the team. Making decisions can take longer for the sake of finding a consensus. Hence, delays occur.

Four skills that necessary for group work are shaper that drives work forward and gets things done, has a clear idea of the desired direction of travel, the implementer that also gets things done, looking for ways to turn talk into action and generate practical activity, completer finisher that focuses on completing tasks, and tidying up all the loose ends and coordinator who manage the group dynamics, often in a leadership role.

Verbal Communication means that the use of sounds and words to express yourself, especially in contrast to using gestures or mannerisms (non-verbal communication). An example of verbal communication is saying “No” when someone asks you to do something you don't want to do.

Written Communication means that it involves any type of message that makes use of the written word. Written communication is the most important and the most effective of any mode of business communication. Some of the various forms of written communications that are used internally for business operations include: Memos. Reports.
Week 8

What is social media feed?
Feed in this context means something that provides updates whenever new content is available.

An example of internet feed on Twitter

what is ergonomics?
Ergonomics is the process of designing or arranging workplaces, products and systems so that they fit the people who use them. Most people have heard of ergonomics and think it is something to do with seating or with the design of car controls and instruments but it is so much more. Ergonomics applies to the design of anything that involves people – workspaces, sports and leisure, health and safety.
  • good posture
  • using a mouse
  • good lighting

Ergonomics self-assessment
I have completed the ergonomics self-assessment. This self-assessment helps me to improve better posture while using a computer.

Social media is the collective of online communications channels dedicated to community-based input, interaction, content-sharing and collaboration.

When is social media is most useful for communicating?

Facebook is seen as the most predominant social media platform and it has the numbers to back it up.

Snapchat has led the way in “temporary” social media, allowing users to share content that can only be seen for 24 hours at most.

This Facebook-owned, Instagram, social media platform has doubled its user base to 700 million monthly active users in just two years.

 What is netiquette?
Netiquette is a set of unofficial rules for good behavior and politeness followed by users of online and digital technologies such as the Internet, email, and chatrooms. Netiquette is derived from the word "etiquette," which refers to the general rules or conventions of correct and polite behaviour in social settings and situations. It is thus the practice of exercising polite and considerate behaviour in online contexts, such as Internet discussion boards and personal email.

For example firstly, composing email by include a subject line, a proper opening and a closing line.

My favourite photo

This is the photo of an Ultimo Tafe backyard and this is colour and shape style. Colour is the element of art that is produced when light, striking an object, is reflected back to the eye. I chose this style because it makes me focus more on the colour of the photo which is a
flower.

WEEK 2

I have chosen the 'Rule of Thirds'.

Image result for rule of thirdsPortfolio Task 1:

Rule of thirds is an important technique in photography. The basic principle behind the rule of thirds is to imagine breaking an image down into thirds (both horizontally and vertically) to have 9 parts and those important compositional elements should be placed along these lines or their intersections.
